Before You Start
Relax! Applying and removing contacts may feel strange at first, but once you practice a few times, it will be like second nature.
Anytime you’re handling your contact lenses it’s important to wash your hands with a soap that is free of oils or lotions and dry your hands with a lint-free towel.
Check to ensure lens is clean and damage-free.
Be sure to handle your contacts in the same order each day to avoid mixing up the right and left lenses.
Avoid using oil-based cosmetics, hand soaps, or lotions. Oil-based products can permanently damage the surface of your contact lenses.
SynergEyes VS Application

Lean forward and look down at the floor. Face should be parallel to the floor. Sometimes it’s helpful to place a mirror flat on the counter to look into as you insert the lens.
With the finger of one hand, hold upper lid by placing one finger on the base of the lashes and pin the lid to the brow bone.
Using the opposite hand, with palm facing up, pull the lower lid down with free finger, holding the eye wide open.
Gently place lens on eye by sliding lens inside lower lid and applying directly to eye. If using inserter, remove inserter from lens by squeezing it.
APPLICATION TIPS
Tip 1. To avoid bubbles, fill the lens bowl up completely with saline. Bubbles may make the lens uncomfortable and produce irregular vision.
Tip 2. To avoid spilling saline solution, center the contact lens in the middle of the inserter, or the middle of your three fingers if using the tripod finger method.
TIP 3. Keep both eyes open to help with lens insertion.
TIP 4. Lid control is important. Release the eyelid when the lens is fully in place and the inserter is out of the eye.
SynergEyes VS Removal

Wet the remover with sterile saline.
Hold lower lid down, position remover at a 45° angle. Place remover on the lower 1/3 of the scleral lens.
Apply slight pressure to the inserter. Inserter should stick to the lens.
Lift lens away from eye with a slight upward motion.
Remove lens from remover with a slight twisting motion.

Place your fingers on your upper eyebrow and your lower eyelashes. Position the lid so they are on top and bottom of the contact lens then break the seal of the lens from the eye by pushing one of the lids in and under the contact lens edge.
The lens should pop out. Make sure you catch it with a towel.
Removal Tips
TIP 1. It’s easier to remove the lens if you are sitting down.
TIP 2. Remove lens from the bottom of the lens, not the center.
TIP 3. When removing the lens from the tool, use a slight twisting motion instead of pulling the lens straight off.
